Opening Gala

The festival will open at the Lincoln Grand 8 theater with a special screening of Steven Spielberg's film Lincoln at 6:00 pm.  Following the film there will a reception in the rotunda of the Logan County Courthouse (a block walk) where hor d'oeurves and drinks served. During the reception there will be a seminar - Searching for the Lincoln Legacy by Dr. Samuel Wheeler.  The Lincoln College Jazz Combo will entertain.

Lincoln native Elizabeth (Pegram) Leake will be with us on Sunday, October 16th to welcome guests to the Lincoln Film Fest’s viewing of the documentary CODE: Debugging the Gender Gap. Elizabeth works as a research computing consultant and correspondent for the global performance technology industry.  After the show, she will lead a discussion at By the Bean for those who would like to learn more about her experience as an advocate for women and girls who CODE.
