The Artist

You've guessed right! There are indeed three people in Job, Joris & Marieke; Job Roggeveen (1979), Joris Oprins (1980) and Marieke Blaauw (1979).
We met during our study at the Design Academy in Eindhoven. Job studied graphic design and Joris and Marieke studied product design. In 2007 we founded our studio in Utrecht.

When we start a project we always work together on the concept and the design. When we've decided which technique to use, we divide the work. It's an organic process in which we all have a share. Roughly speaking; Joris and Marieke work on the animation and storytelling and Job works on the illustrations and music. This allows us to work fast and efficient. And that's how splendid things are made!
